Hare Butter Dish

A covered butter dish in cream stoneware, with a single leaping hare screenprinted across the lid in ochre, sage and ink navy. The hare is drawn flat and bold, one charcoal outline, three inks — no shading, no gilding, nothing to chip off a rim.

The lid sits in a shallow well rather than balancing on the base, so it stays put when the dish is passed down a table. Takes a standard 250 g block with room to get a knife in.
